Henryk Zastróżny (one of Poland's best-known sound imitators for film) prepared a several-minute set of sounds forming into
a narrative about a cowboy who travels across the winter desert on horseback.
I illustrated this sound film with music from a synthesiser. It all took place in a darkened cinema in Sokolowsko.
Very soft light fell on Henryk, barely visible from the audience.
Towards the end, Henryk peeled a grapefruit. It was the only one of the objects he used that made its original sound
instead of pretending to be the sound of something else.
When Henryk split the grapefruit in two, the smell of this citrus spread throughout the cinema hall.
